The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association is implementing its dead period throughout the entire state, beginning from this Saturday up until July 7. This dead period from the OSSAA applies to all athletic activities. Coaches and athletes are prohibited from contact with each other, and athletic facilities are prohibited from being used. Field maintenance is not prohibited during the dead period. Any coach who violates this dead period will be suspended for the first half of the regular season. Athletes who have qualified for a tournament earlier in the summer may participate in that tournament if it coincides with dead week.
