JH science classes are incubating eggs and studying the life cycle of an egg. Each grade is meeting several of their State standards through this activity. We hope to have chicks in about a month. Stay tuned!
We have SEVERAL seniors who have not turned in bios, baby pictures and/or senior pictures needed for their senior bios in the yearbook. These materials are due by Monday, March 1st. Our Fan Appreciation/Senior Recognition Night has been rescheduled for Sunday at 4pm in the game gym. We want to thank our fans for sticking it out through basketball season and give a farewell to our senior basketball players and cheerleaders. No admission. Please wear a mask. Parents KTC offers outstanding training in the fields of HVAC, Culinary Arts, Welding, Biomedical Science, Electrical, Practical Nursing and much more. Definitely a great program to check into for students!

Arkoma Boys Basketball will take on the Allen Mustangs Monday, February 22 @ 3 PM at North Rock Creek 42400 Garrett Lakes Rd. Shawnee. The game will be live-streamed on nfhsnetwork.com. At the game - Masks are required at all times. Temps will be taken at the door. $7 to enter.
Due to Regional basketball, we will re-schedule our archery shoot that was scheduled. The State has asked that we have a member of administration at the shoot in order to maintain a sense of transparency. All administration will be at the Regional ballgames. We will post our re-scheduled date as soon as possible!

Wednesday will be a virtual day. All 5th-12th grade students are required to complete online assignments EACH day. Attendance and grades are based off logging in daily. These are not optional assignments. Students who do not complete assignments when due will receive a zero unless there are extenuating circumstances that have been approved by the teacher or administrator.
PK-4th grade students also have daily assignments that have been sent home or are assigned daily via class text. Students will be required to turn in those assignments to receive a grade.
The Regional Basketball games that were set for Thursday have been postponed until Saturday. Game time and site remain the same.
Parent/Teacher Conferences occurred last week through phone calls due to COVID-19. Several parents were not reached either because of non-working phone numbers or unanswered phone calls. If you have any questions or inquiries about your child’s progress, and did not hear from a teacher, please feel free to email them. You can find their contact information on our school website or app. They will be happy to get back with you as soon as possible. Thank you!
Due to weather and road conditions, Tuesday, February 16th will be a virtual day. Teachers will be available from 8-3 via email to answer any questions or help students with work.
As for the rest of the week, we will continue to assess the situation and notify parents as decisions are made. Everyone try to stay warm!!
